Lake Erie Walleye Charter

I went up to Lake Erie yesterday (2/19/2011) to check out the ice situation.  There are no shanties, air boats, or any signs of ice fisherman.  The best sign that I noticed was open water starting to appear.  I think everybody knows what that means.  Lake Erie walleye jig fishing is just around the corner.  Most of the open water was off Miller Ferry area of the South Passage.  I also visited Wild Wings and the ice is still locked in there pretty good.  I talked to an ice guide and he was packing up his stuff and heading home to put it away for the year and get his charter boat ready for spring fishing.  The last stop was to check on the boat.  Sweet Escape was the same as when it was put away in the fall.  Took some things off the trailer that need to be fixed and I will begin working on them this week.  Its great to begin thinking about walleye fishing and stop sitting in the recliner.  Well enough for this post, I got a new fishing rod to order and stinger hooks to finish tying.  Til next time, think warmer temperatures and happy fishing.

Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Charter

It was a pleasure speaking with those of you that visited Tinley Park Outdoor Show in Chicago, IL.  I spoke with a lot of interested fisherman eager to visit Lake Erie and pursue that lovely sport fish, walleye.  Did get a couple more trips on the books and hope to hear from others soon as dates are becoming sparse.  Good fishing and think spring.

Lake Erie Walleye Charters

Lake Erie spring walleye fishing season is slowly approaching even though the weather here in the Midwest doesn't show any signs of spring.  Sweet Escape Charters attended an outdoor show in Hammond, IN on January 22 and 23, and the outcome was very successful.  I will be attending another show this upcoming weekend February 12 and 13, in Tinley Park, IL at the Tinley Park Outdoor Show.  This show is a great show for anyone that is close to that area.  Hope to see some of you their.

Sweet Escape Charters New to Blogging

I am venturing into un-chartered territory with this blogging thing. I am hoping that I can stay in touch with current customers and get new customers to experience the excitement of Lake Erie walleye and perch fishing.  So, if any of my customers out there understand this bogging thing, please follow my blog and give me some pointers. This would greatly be appreciated.  I look forward to staying in touch with all of you and fishing season will be here in a couple of months.
